Privacy

This page says exactly what we keep. It was written by reading the database, not by adapting somebody else's policy.
What we keep about your account
Your email, your username, and whatever you write in your profile: display name, bio and city. If you sell, also the public address of your wallet, which is the one that receives payments.
We store no passwords, because there are none. We do not store your private key: it is generated on your phone and never reaches our servers.
What we keep about your listings
The title, description, price, category, and the area: province, city and neighbourhood. Map coordinates are rounded before they are stored, to about a hundred metres, so they place the area and not your door.
Photos have their metadata stripped on upload. That includes the GPS coordinates your phone writes into every picture, which would otherwise publish the exact spot where it was taken.
What we keep about transactions
For each sale: what sold, for how much, the wallet address that paid, and the transaction identifier. That comes from the payment system; we do not ask you for it. If you claim a purchase with your account, it is linked to your email.
Messages between buyer and seller are stored so the two of you can read them. Reviews are public and permanent: that is the only reputation there is here.
What we do NOT do
- We do not store your IP address or which browser you use. The server keeps no access log: the only place your IP appears is with the provider that runs the site, below.
- We have no analytics, ours or anybody else's.
- There are no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies are your session and your language choice.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone.
Who we share with
Four services, and only what each needs:
- Render runs the site. It terminates the connection, so it sees your IP address: that is unavoidable on any website. We do not store it or write it to any log of ours.
- checkout402 processes payments. It sees the price and the wallet addresses, not your email.
- Resend sends the emails. It sees your address and the contents of the message we send you.
- OpenStreetMap draws the maps. It sees your IP, but only if you open a map: that is why each listing's map loads only when you tap it.
How long
Sign-in links delete themselves once they expire. Everything else stays while you have an account, apart from transaction records the law requires us to keep.
What you can ask us for
Write to hola@mail.dolartienda.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Two things cannot be deleted, and it is better to say so plainly: reviews you wrote, because they belong to the person who read them as much as to the person who received them, and the record of a paid sale, because it is the other party's receipt.
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data under Argentine law (Ley 25.326). The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública is the supervisory authority.
